Description:

Contemporary restaurant with a creative menu, dramatic interior & friendly service. Fun, casual, classy dining at its best. Named one of America's "20 Best New Restaurants" the year it opened by Esquire and called "A dazzlingly modern, very hip Italian restaurant.

Type of Meals Served:

Half price bottles of wine and jazz music on Thursdays??? Sign me up, Pricci!

A colleague and I met at the bar at Pricci at 6:30 and enjoyed yummy half price wine. We met the sommelier, who permitted us to sample some different wines before settling on which bottle to buy. Gold star, Pricci!

We were seated in a lovely private booth at the front of the restaurant, which was close enough to the lovely jazz musicians, but far enough away so I could enjoy conversation. Our waiter, Marco, was an Italian dream-come-true with perfect waiter manners. Loved him.

Three types of bread with marinara and goat cheese dipping sauce? YUM.

Fantastic spaghetti noodles with veal meatballs? Perfect.

Beautiful shrimp "ceviche" with arugula and pepper jelly (Crudo di Scampi)? Tasty as can be.

Half portion of orrechiette with homemade Italian sausage? Swoon.
Half portion of malfatti (ricotta gnocchi)? Heaven.

Strawberry gelato? Perfection.

Add a delicious cappucino with frangelico and Bailey's and I was a happy girl.

I must note the $30 special menu is a real steal for an appetizer, main, and dessert. Its even better to add wine for $40. My colleague ordered the 14oz. pork porterhouse a la carte from this menu and what an impressive dish it was!

Is Pricci the best Italian in Atlanta? In my opinion, no. But the ambience is perfect, especially with the jazz. The romance and the cost savings from the Thursday specials are worth the trip

Over the years, sure, I've been to business lunches and romantic dinners including a memorable Valentine's Day at Pricci. All quite nice, as you'd expect from a Buckhead Life restaurant. But in the past couple of years, it's been casual lunches at the bar, attended to by the charming and gracious, and quite knowledgeable, Max, that I've felt Pricci to really stand out among other tasty Italian spots. I love their menu. Even better, I love how Max in particular makes suggestions about what to order, or - this is key! - how to slightly tweak a dish to my specific tastes. In short, he has wooed me with his attention to detail and his Roman demeanor (yes, he's really from Italy). He remembered my penchant for arugula, for example, and when I came in last he wondered aloud if I had pizza on my mind (I actually did, and he recalled I'd ordered the margherita and the starter arugula salad last visit) and suggested this time I get the prosciutto pizza as it has tomato and arugula on it as well! Delizzioso. Other menu recommendations - the prosciutto pizza is something I will have a hard time not ordering every visit from now on, by the way - include the calamari and any of their paninis for lunch. I'm going to have to try a pasta other than the casarecci (chicken, asparagus, ricotta with hand-rolled noodles- yum!) which I enjoy muchly, on a future visit. And the desserts . . . Max somehow gets me to eat dessert every visit. Last time it was this homemade KitKat kind of chocolate bar . . . I thought that was insanely good until today when I was surprised with a plate of two lemon pastry type puffs of heavenliness, surrounding a shot-glass of almost-mousse-like consistency chocolateness with two dollops of meringue "dressing up" the final presentation on the plate. Um, yeah, I nearly rolled out of the restaurant. Deee-vine.
