For a lite dinner, we ordered and shared a salad (Tuna Sashimi salad) and an appetizer (a salmon/cucumber roll "sashimi" with a nice ponzu sauce). We followed this a couple rolls (huge house special roll and a yellowtail roll with some sort of Roquefort sauce). While we may not get that particular roll w/ Roquefort again (just overpowered the fish a little too much), I can't wait to get back and try almost everything I saw on the menu. The restaurant itself is tiny, but has a fun look and a great friendly vibe with the wait staff and the sushi bar. I also wanted to point out that the actual menu is much larger than the online menu.

Classic Japanese Menu 3630 Peachtree Road Atlanta Ga. 30305 Buckhead This has to be my favorite sushi restaurant ever. I now live in Sydney Australia but every time I come back to Atlanta to visit, this is a must-do on the itinerary. The food is unsurpassed by any sushi restaurant I have been to (and I've been to Tetsuya's in Sydney!!!!) And Tom the chef / owner is always present and is a great person to have a chat to. Yes it is rather pricy but the quality and creativity make it well worth the money. Not something I say very often mind you, there are too many restaurants out there trading on a good name and charging exhorbitant prices (cough, cough, Tetsuya's, cough).I used to pick from the menu - now I just tell Tom to give me whatever is best quality that day and whatever hits his creative fancy. If you haven't tried the Snapper with Shiso herb, I recommend it. Its so simple and pure and so tasty.Can't say enough good things. I just hope Tom doesn't decide to move elsewhere (to follow his golf passion) before I can get back to Atlanta for another meal at Tomo!!! Vinings you are so lucky that Tom decided to locate his restaurant there!

  We had the best dinner ever. The knowledge of the wait staff was outstanding, the food preparation and presentation was the best I have ever seen and the relaxed feeling of the restaurant makes for a great meeting place for friends.We will return to this wonderful place. Great Find!!
