Shillings on the square in Marietta has been around since the 1970's. They have a great selection of food on the menu and they have earned a reputation that keeps their Marietta patrons coming back for more. The bar area is interesting and has all the makings for any drink you can think up. The staff is top notch and you can be sure you will always get fast and courteous service. The whole restaurant is clean and inviting.

Located on the Marietta Square is Shillings On The Square- You have a choice of fine dining in the rooftoop dining facilty- or come as you are and enjoy the downstairs Grill and Tavern! Shillings is a venerable establishment and occupies a building on the corner of our town's square. The previous tenant had been a hardware dealer. If memory serves me that business also had the name, "Shillings."

I'm completely obsessed with their beer battered mushrooms! They're huge and come out warm and fresh every time I order them. They come with two dipping sauces, ranch and sweet chili sauce, the later being my favorite. Their burgers are so delicious. I've had them a few times. They just melt in your mouth. I've also had the fish and chips. They were really good. I would recommend them to anyone. A fresh squeeze of lemon for just the right acidity and it was to die for. My friend had the stuffed chicken with prosciutto, red peppers and mozzarella once and couldn't stop raving over it. She said the mashed potatoes that came with it reminded her of her grandmother's. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal that night. My mom had one of their new salads. I cant remember right off hand what its called. (sorry, in my defense its been 2 months) It was a nice mixture of greens and fruit with nuts and grilled chicken sliced on top. Its rivaling my fav salad, the spring salad at rays on the river. I couldn't stop sneaking bites of it. The place is usually packed when I go so I understand when the wait staff is a little slow. Overall they do a wonderful job and are rather friendly. The couple that own the place are a total joy and ready to chat. The first night I went the owner gave us dessert on the house and had some with us. Very Dante's down the hatch of him. :3 Shillings is a great place to go if you're ever on the square! Be sure to try the fried mushrooms
