Far from a shack, the city-feeling and slightly upscale D.B.A. seeks to be a jack of all barbecue trades. Instead of focusing on one region’s ‘cue (Texas brisket or Memphis ribs) about every conceivable style of meat is represented. The heaping helpings of pulled pork or baby backs will leave you with a doggie bag and the long list of imaginative sides aim to please everyone. Be a true southerner and opt for the braised collards and creamed (not creamy but very well seasoned) corn instead of the corn grits that go down like a liquefied corn muffin.
